As we get closer and closer to the Christmas holiday, we prepare for the time with family as well as the slate of great NBA games on that day. As sneaker aficionados, we also prepare for the releases that follow suit with the holiday. Following tradition, Nike Basketball has whipped up some great shoes with each having a theme that relates to the day and/or season.
The Nike Kyrie 2 draws inspiration from the Abominable Snowman, as seen by the jagged teeth etched on the strap as well as the frosted outsole. The touch of blue and red on the branding is an awesome touch.
The Nike LeBron 13 brings the super cold midwestern winters right to each of our door steps. The shattered ice graphics and the winterized version of the Lion lace jewel make this one an easy choice as a go to shoe.
The Nike KD 8 poses the eternal question: have you been naughty or nice? The battle between good and evil takes place on each side of the shoe as the outer half remains super clean and smooth while the inner half brings the fire and brimstone. The midsoles provide the lumps of coal that will be in many a Christmas stockings.
Lastly we see the Nike Kobe 10 in a shoe that is worthy of any Christmas tree spot. We see the familiar green and red on the knitted toe while the uppers are covered in a striking red and a smooth black. The branding comes in gold while the sweetest spot comes via the heel as we see five golden rings emblazoned on there, once again solidifying the "Mamba" as one of the all time greats.
The collection will be releasing on December 26th at Nike store locations, the online store as well as authorized Nike Basketball retailers.
