Concepts has been one of the stronger retail boutiques on the East Coast for many years now, not only carrying some of the top brands, but creating their own in-house apparel line alongside collabs with high profile brands. In celebration of expanding outside the East Coast, and into Cost Mesa, California this week, Concepts has teamed up with New Balance to release another collab in honor of the California store opening.
Inspired by luxury automobile endurance racing, the CNCPTS x New Balance 998 Made in the USA uses premium pig suede on the upper, perforated suede on the side panels, and a reflective underlay detailing the "N" logo. The color palette of the collab uses primarily a gray with hits of off-white, sea green, and bright red. The colorway draws inspiration from European road maps, race stickers, flags, and interior design from automobiles. The final detail includes a faux carbon fiber rear heel support and custom tarmac "CNCPTS" branding insole.
The CNCPTS x New Balance 998 "Grand Tourer" is set to release on December 26th, 2015 at the Cambridge, New York, and Costa Mesa locations as well as online. at 10am EST.
