One of the main attractions about the annual NBA All-Star weekend has absolutely nothing to do with the games and contests being played on the court. It has to do with the shoes. The sportswear brands usually (but not always) roll out a great lineup of kicks for the masses to snatch up. While adidas went the lifestyle route during the 2015 edition of the weekend (Yeezy Boost, Xeno pack, 2 gorgeous pairs of Top Ten High), it seems as if they may be returning to the hoops portion of their catalogue. Today they debuted the Crazylight Boost 2.5 that will be worn on the court and just like the uniforms, it sticks to something that is indicative of "The North".
The shoe's colorful blend of hues of purple and teal make for an amazingly eye catching shoe that draws inspiration from one of the greatest natural occurences known to man: the Aurora Borealis. The beautiful shoe features Boost tech, a knitted upper mixed with mesh on the outside and a neoprene bootie on the inside. A translucent purple outsole and diagonal lacing system close things out in style. It seems as if the 3 Stripes will be rolling out an entire collection based on this theme and we can't wait to see what's up their sleeve.
Expect to see more soon. For all updates on the Aurora Borealis collection, stick with SneakerShouts.
