The Air Jordan 1.5 was created after Michael Jordan broke his leg during his second season in the NBA. What would later become the Air Jordan 2 sole, provided more centric cushion than the Air Jordan 1 sole. The idea was to help transition MJ back to full strength with the help from a new cushioning system. On March 15th, 1986 Michael Jordan first wore the Air Jordan 1.5 against divisional rival, the Milwaukee Bucks. As you can tell from the "Gorge Green" colorway, the Wisconsin franchise is the real inspiration behind the colorway and highlights the team's 80s color palette.
The Air Jordan 1.5 "Gorge Green" will hit retailers on December 12th, 2015. Stay tuned with SneakerShouts to find out where you'll be able to purchase a pair this weekend.
