The annual Quai 54 Streetball World Championships have given us sneakerheads plenty to talk about over the years. The tournament tends to bring out the best of their sponsors and this year is no different as Nike took it to yet another level as far as exclusive kicks. We've already seen a few classics remade for the 2015 hoops fest but this Nike Foamposite may top them all.
The rugged, battle tested shoe is covered in an iridescent paint/wrap which changes colors with different angles. The black suede collar/lacestay sports an all over covering of the tourney logo while its signature icy, translucent blue outsole brings a bit of the "OG" into play. Last but not least is a slight change of the guard as the "Penny" logos have been exchanged for the official games insignia on the heel and a "54" on the tongue bubble.
While you will need a passport and a strong French connection to grab these beauties, it is rumored that a less exclusive, non-branded pair could be making its way to retail later on this year. A "Black Friday" release could be on the way to satisfy the 'Posite fiends while not having to drop an arm and a leg for them. Check the last image for the potential U.S release version and let us know what you think about this new take on a beloved classic.
Make sure to keep it locked with Sneakershouts for any potential updates.
