Concepts is always cooking up something special! The Massachusetts retailer continues to push out some of the best collaborative designs in the sneaker game. Their next project comes from working with Diadora, an Italian-based brand. We mention Diadora's heritage because it plays a huge part in this Concepts collab.
The Concepts x Diadora N9000 “Lira” is directly inspired by Italy's pre-Euro currency, the Italian Lira. The sneaker specifically takes nods from the 500,000 Lire which is the currency's largest denomination. Using the Diadora N9000, both brands have decked this sneaker out in a aquamarine, pink, green, yellow, and tan comprised in a very high quality suede. Complete with a special tongue tag and 3M on the back, this is one sneaker you'll have to check out in person!
If you're not sure what the 500,000 Lire looks like, you can check the sneaker's insole for the bills entirety. There you will see the colors used for this sneaker's appearance and the Italian painter/architect Raffaello. The sneaker will release in a special box and come with 3 sets of laces. Retailing for $205, the Concepts x Diadora N9000 “Lira” will only be available at cncptsintl.com and in-store at Concepts Cambridge October 3rd.
