Anyone who follows the sneaker game knows that Wale has been part of it for quite some time. As such we've seen him bring out some awesome pairs which are near and dear to many of us. Well it looks like the DMV's champion is about to do it again as he joins forces once again with Philly based retail giant VILLA for a collab that is sure to put release calendars in a headlock.

Wale and VILLA have chosen the runner route again for a Summer blockbuster that brings the Asics Gel Lyte III in an amazing colorway that harkens back to an amazing time for Sports Entertainment aka Wrestling. Drawing inspiration from the WWE (then the WWF) Intercontinental Title, we see the shoe covered in metallic gold with secondary hits of an almost turquoise blue. A solid black comes in to balance things out a bit and complete what is a striking shoe that many old school wrestling fans can appreciate.

As is customary with VILLA, the packaging and overall execution will be top notch and if the colors and season are any indication, expect to see some influence from the SummerSlam PPV event that is one of the WWE's crown jewels and has historically had gold/blue as its colors. Being that Wale is a huge wrestling fan, we know that this one was very well thought out.
